Well, I started the swap of my 80cc aero 80 engine into my aero 50. I'll add some more pics and info as I go along. First thing first is to remove the 50cc engine.  Engine removed  Had to do some trimming on the mounts.  When I get some more work done, I'll post some more pics and info. |

Ive heard the 80cc aero and elite engines are well built and will last!
I'm keeping my eyes on this one, should be fun in a 50 frame!.

lol.
the only thing i did yesterday was cut some of were the starter hits the frame. i've been doing some work on a friends wife's Buick and have been workin on that more than the scooter.

nothin much. I'm going to try to get some pics up tonight. I'm trying to figure out how to get it to mount up without dragging the bottom of the engine.

decided to fully re-do the entire bike while most of it was apart anyways. So first I'll get the motor mounted up, then pull it apart and paint, re-do, etc.
What I did today:
Stripped the bike
Cleaned 1/2 of it.
Fixed the side panels.
Built a piece to cover were gauges were.
Items adding:
Bike Spedo
Kickstand
Custom decals

I think I have it figured out how it will be mounted up! If I can find my camera, I'll post pics.

Found my camera. Here how she sits now.  Tomorrow, I think I'll take it down to the car wash and clean the frame, then take it over to my buddy's to have the extensions welded to the frame. Then, I'll paint the frame flat black, rebuild the engine (maybe put a bigger piston and carb), re-cover the wiring, finish the body work, paint, and then put it back together. |
