Also, in case you've never pulled the variator before:
(MY SPECIAL METHOD, EASY AND BASIC TOOLS)
1- Pull airbox (maybe not on elite but for sure on Aero.)
2- Pull transmission cover and kickstart lever off
3- PULL FAN SHROUD ON OTHER SIDE OF ENGINE - EXPOSE FAN
4- HOLD FAN WITH HAND, REACH OVER SCOOTER AND CRANK FIXED PULLEY NUT WITH 14mm RATCHET!
5- Remove fixed pulley, squeeze belt to give it slack and pull down, check for belt wear!!
6- Pull the variator off the crankshaft. Undo the 3 small bolts and BAM! Theres the rollers!
In your case, keep the pulley boss and chuck that big RUCKUS variator on with it.
7- Replace the ramp guides too if theyre worn, and remember assembly is simply the reverse of what you just did. REMEMBER TO PUT THE BELT BACK! (Duh!)
*When you put the fixed pulley back on, it will straighten out as you tighten the bolt because of the belt. Dont worry, just make sure your not threading the nut on the crank and the fixed pulley will line up*
