Ok this past summer I went searching for a scooter to replace my 97 Honda Dio that was sadly stolen. I wanted something quality to replace it with. A day or so browsing some classified ads and doing research and I stumbled on the "Holy Grail" of a deal. I went to look at it the same day and paid cash, a little less then asking because of some damage to the right rear plastic and a missing clip off the front cover.... Well I let my friend ride it for a bit on his street, he was suprised it was so quick and within a week he bought a BWS/Zuma, so I had a friend to ride with everyday! Fun part is that he lives on the outskirts of the city im in, so we like to ride on dirt trails and through woods and stuff. Heres some of the modifications ive done to my scooter: 90/90 tire - Rollers - Torsion spring - Clutch spring (not shown) - KOSO Tach (Dec 3: I had to stop riding because of snow) Now Im just waiting on some more performance goodies, I will make this 65cc sometime closer to spring and maybe bigger carb, still unsure on that one, Need a better rear shock too...

Nice! You never said how much you paid though... 1500k clutch springs are the best mod I've done, but the torsion spring**meh** I could take it or leave it.

I was lucky to get this thing for 700cad, however insurance covered most of it so only 100 came out of my pocket. Tach was good deal too <80cad! Theres a couple bad parts to the body too, 2 clips broken off the front cover, right rear has scratches, so does floorboard, rims need resurfacing and paint, and my airbox is warped but im gonna find a pod-style filter for it. Also what a small gas tank, ive had to fill up like 2 times on a ride with other 50's before! Plus side is that I can pay for gas in quarters Heres another pic of the engine and frame, all I really have had to do is replace the CDI (oem) and clean the filter and change gear oil. Ive also run my ignition coil closer to the cdi, by the taillights, when I installed my tachometer. It plugs into the cdi and I didnt have too much wire left... I notice this thing can pull wheelies pretty easy, when ever i'd leave school (cuz I always park by the Ruckus boys) this thing would always hop-up on the way out.

Tach was on some local online classifieds, the guy bought it for his BWS/Zuma 70cc and never hooked it up before he sold the scooter. Lights up blue and red.

Ok, since we've been having good weather i figured its time for an update!
Swapped in an 85 main jet, and cut in 2 small holes into the airbox for better flow. Wow, this made a huge difference in the bottom-end, and made a bit more noise. Did a plug chop but I think im gonna buy the bpr8hs plug instead of the bpr6hs. Currently swapped the 7g rollers out for 8's this made my top end a bit better and cut down on the over-rev when the scooter is cold, but i still gotta find the magic number because i go up ALOT of hills, and 7s were just fun... Ordered a Keli pulley, and I also have a "rare" Malossi intake manifold for a 20mm Dellorto PHBG carb that was made for the vision, so if I ever need a new carb BAM! I can get the best and itll fit.
Will be able to get pics of the airbox mod soon, ive just been busy dicking around with my dirtbike because its almost time to get muddy...

Here is the airbox mod i did a few weeks ago, looks pretty clean: Now, onto the pipe, its a LeoVince SP3 and I got it for $109, so not a bad price, it came with 6.2 gram rollers (ill try them soon, got 7s in now) shipping from Germany was fast (early even!) and cheap... This pipe is also LIGHTER than stock.... Overall impressions: this pipe sounds quiet, and there is a header restriction ill drill out on the weekend when I have the time, but has the Ba-Ba-Ba sound of a true chamber..... also the finish is kinda cheap and a piece even flaked off, and the mounting bracket looks like shit too, but whatever...... on the plus side, it made my aero much quicker through entire range then before and it smokes alot more now too, Bonus!! Top speed is yet to be determined as its really really windy past couple days and im kinda scared to be honest.... 70-80km winds vs 120lb scooter..... Also, here's my helmet: SHOEI(old ass) custom painted green/purple mix looks ill in the light but ive used it for MX so theres also a ton of chips and scratches over the years: *Note the ghetto visor mounting
