Hello all, new to the forum and am looking for help. I'm working on an NH80 for my uncle and can't get it started. The carb has been cleaned and rebuilt. It cranks fine but won't start. It gets fuel and spark, the plug is wet after cranking so it's flooding. It's got fresh gas but the compression is low (145 psi). I've tried cranking it with and without the air filter. Nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

It will run at 145 so that is not the issue. Either the bystarter is dumping fuel of the carb is. Check the float level.

How do I trouble-shoot the by-starter? Is the By-Starter and Control Box the same thing? I was told that the control box had recently been replaced.
When I rebuilt the carb, it looked like you couldn't adjust the float height. Am I correct in thinking this, if so, how do you adjust the float level?
Thanks,
John

NEVER EVER USE starting fluid on a two stroke. It will ruin the engine.
