Someone grabbed it, but was able to buy it off the guy that took it. Haven't Started it yet It needs a battery probably carb cleaned out.. ETC... and hopefully it will run. right now emptying the gas tank, fresh gas carb cleaned fuel filter GN2 oil spark plug air filter Is that everything i should definitly repalce before starting? Its been awhile since i tried to get one started. I will try to remeber what to do first.

Nice find. I have a 83 Aero 80, and I need the "main" plastic body panels that go around the engine, both left and right sides. These are the panels you see, with decals and so on. Any help would be appreciated. Bought it new in 1983, and am passing it down to my son, and want to finish a complete restoration, but need these panels. Color does not matter. Thanks. gsa2@me.com

If I come across any I will let you know.. I know how fustrating it is when you cant find something to complete your restoration, I do find these scoots a lot around here.
**Update I got her started and seems really strong! but she only runs for about a minute then dies off slowly, I'm guessing fuel related. I cleaned the carb and jets, freash gas and new fuel lines. I didnt clean the tank. I think thats the problem

The pilot circuit is plugged, probably the low speed jet is plugged. The scooter is running off the bystarter circuit and once it warms up the fuel stops.

So thats the second jet that's in the carb? (the longer one?) I'll take it out and clean it. I use a stran of copper wire from an insulated wire (speaker wire or car audio) to run it through, it must keep clogging. It's fine when I have the throttle on but whn I slow to a stop it sometimes dies and cant restart. then I wait some time and it starts right up as if nothing happened. maybe I'lll jet get a new jet kit witha 90 main. will I have to re tune air gas mix?

The pilot jet is the smaller of the two jets. And the circuit can plug elsewhere to. Spray carb cleaner or WD-40 into the jet and see if it comes out in the venturi.
