First off: Yes I have attempted to use forum Search! yes, I have a tech manual. I've got a pretty solid Aero 125 that I mostly neglect in a garage because I have no title. I've read a few of Bears very informative posts. Issues: 1. No air filter cover or holder. If you have one, I'll buy it. 2. Previous owner has a spring holding the oil pump in the closed position (toward right side of bike) and instructed me to pre mix fuel. I replace the throttle cable & she runs pretty good. Bear mentions this will cause engine damage, check.
I'm looking for discussions that cover the following: - oil pump, tank cleaning, hose diameter specs, - fuel hose line diameters, - Could the oil pump modification be a fix for a faulty Bystarter? Or unlikely a bad oil pump?
Thank you.

First off: Yes I have attempted to use forum Search! yes, I have a tech manual. I've got a pretty solid Aero 125 that I mostly neglect in a garage because I have no title. You can usually get a title by applying for a "Lost Title". I've read a few of Bears very informative posts. Issues: 1. No air filter cover or holder. If you have one, I'll buy it. They are NLA (No Longer Available) and scarce. You can always take a flat piece of plastic and make one. filter holder; Honda; HOLDER, A/CLNR ELEM 17208-KG8-010 $22.58. Don't run the scooter without a filter or a cover, it will be too lean and melt the piston, ask me how I know? 2. Previous owner has a spring holding the oil pump in the closed position (toward right side of bike) and instructed me to pre mix fuel. I replace the throttle cable & she runs pretty good. Bear mentions this will cause engine damage, check. Previous owner was an idiot. Why wire it closed? Full open would be safer and pre-mix is a PIA.
I'm looking for discussions that cover the following: - oil pump, tank cleaning, hose diameter specs, I use solvent, some use gas but not only is it dangerous (FIRE!) but the stuff is toxic anymore. - fuel hose line diameters, I haven't a clue. I take the old hose to the local motorcycle shop and they match it for me then I buy an extra 6" for the next time I need some, but then again I have 5 Aero 125s. Oh and I label the spare coil of hose. - Could the oil pump modification be a fix for a faulty Bystarter? Or unlikely a bad oil pump? No, they have nothing to do with each other.
Thank you.
