Hey all, i just found this board. I've done a few things with cars and bikes before... el8id.com/arthive/?p=685But now I have a "one-owner" 1984 Aero 80 which I've inherited from family. it was ruby red and shows 2500miles (probably 12500). It has been downed twice partly due to the lack of front suspension bushings! I've had it a less than a year now and it needed some front bushings, a battery, brake pads, some minor adjustments, general cleaning, fluids, and some plastic body work. Here it is is in current state. I'm working on something to fill the front reflector...and it's going to get new aero decals and white pin-striping soon. The color is 1984 CATerpillar Dumptruck Yellow.

there are some hard plastic/rubber bushing which link the bottom of the shocks to the front axle.
one was totally gone so when you hit the front brakes it would create a hard stop and wiggle the front end around. acts like a locked brake, but pulls the wheel to one side.
i dropped it once at a hard stop and then found the lack of rubber up front was causing it to jar the front end abruptly and break the tire loose a bit since it's so sudden.

Yeah a lot of parts discontinued here are still available elsewhere in the world.
