So, I've been painting my 125 over the last week Mettalic Blue. I also cut my windscreen down from my 80 and installed it on the 125. I can still ride upright and not use the windscreen or tuck down under it for quick sprints on the hwy by my house (55mph). Accually hitting 58 on the flats (not to bad) I'm happy with that. The paint went well, I followed a guy on youtube with a red rukus. I used Rustoluem, its by far the BEST!! LOTS OR WORK SANDING AND BUFFING.. I still have to wet sand the clear with 1000 grit around the lights and the front fender, then compound. I did 3 coats of primer 3 coasts of color, and 3 of clear. Spray painting with Rust-Oleum Sand DRY! with 320 Wipe down Mineral spirts (paint thinner) shop cloth/rag Wipe down Tack cloth 3 coats of Rust-Oleum Enamel only!! (swirl & shake) maybe PLACE CAN IN WARM WATER FOR 15MINS Apply Each coat allowing 5 min between coats Let sit for 2 days (48 hours) Wipe down with mineral spirts then tack cloth 3 coats of clear (Rust Oleum) apply just like color coats Wait 2 days time Wet Sand 1000 3m use a sand block Maguireās ultimate compound (Black) Came out great for a first timer//

Nice paint work but why cut the windshield down since the Aero 80 and 125 use the same identical windshields?

Thanks... I thought they were the same, I wasnt sure. The windshield had major scratches, I tried sand to buff them out it was still too distorted with the deep gouges so I figure it was scap, I guess it's just a matter of personal prefrence. I did not like it so tall. I can tuck behind the short one, (I'm on the shorther side than most pple).
