Just purchased a 1985 honda aero...just recently took a ride on it and noticed that the speedometer stopped working....any suggestions of why it stopped? And is the thing that registers the speed on the front wheel or rear wheel?...thanks for your help

The fist thing I would suspect if it worked before , would be the cable nut came loose from the speedometer head. A broken cable is the next most likely problem. If not that the next thing would be the speedometer gear on the wheel and the last thing would be a bad speedo head itself.
