There is an aero 125 on my local Craig'slist that seems to be a solid looking scoot. I've never owned a scooter before and am interested in using one this summer as main transportaion. I'm a little leary of this specific model due to the difficult time many of you have had finding parts. Is this a good little scooter for a bigger guy (fatty, not tall)?

Yeah, it is a good scooter for a big guy. I have 3 Aero 125s and picking up a parts bike on the first. Parts are not near as hard to find as some seem to think. A bunch of them are still available from Honda. But it needs to have good compression and run.

Hey, I am also going to be buying one soon, it is in near perfect cosmetic condition, nut needs a new battery, carb cleaned, and fuel system cleaned. Guy is asking for $600. Should I go for it?

Well, lets see, I have less than $500 in 4 Aero 125. 3 ran when I bought them and three have good plastics. The other scooter's engine runs but the compression is low at 90 PSI. I am looking at a parts bike Aero 125 with a known bad engine (25 PSI compression but the rest of the engine is good) and good plastics and the guy said he would take $65. I just bought a running Aero 125 with no plastics for $100 and I have a spare set of plastics not counting the $65 ones for it.
In my opinion, for an unknown because you have no compression numbers and it does not run, it is worth $200 at best and I probably wouldn't pay over $125 for it. It is a total crap shoot because the engine is an unknown regardless of what the seller claims.
