I have been told that the Aero 80 has a RPM limited CDI. Nowhere in my reading on this scooter has it never been mentioned. But it would make sense when looking at the poor performance of the 2 stroke 80 compared to the 4 stroke Elite 80. Anybody have any info?
Oh and since the Aero 125 runs the same CDI it will be effected too.

Ok I finally feel well enough and the weather cleared off enough for me to test the limited CDI theory.
Installed NB50 CDI on the Aero 80 and did two sets of two way runs, a mile and a half each way at sea level. Lowest top speed 39.5, highest 39.9 mph, Average 39.7 mph.
Then I reinstall stock CDI. I then did the same two sets of two way runs. Lowest top speed 39.1, highest 40.5 mph, average 39.8 mph.
The runs were done over a period of 1/2 an hour with a break to swap the boxes. So my numbers say there is no RPM limiter in the Aero 80 and Aero 125 CDI box.
