Hello you all. My aero 125 is hard to start when cold and cold or hot it will not accelerate. It acts like it isnt getting enough gas, when you accelerate, even sitting on the stand, it will bog down. I have cleaned the carb, air filt. I have tried putting a spacer under the pintle of the auto choke and I got about half throttle acceleration and it will build to 40 mph. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks workdog, is there anyway to check the bystarter. I was considering replacing it, but not sure it is bad. Also thought of trying to remove the bystarter and just plug the hole and see what that does. Gas has been in tank for a year, but still smells good. Probably should change the gas anyway. Any comments, I just got this scooter from a friend and may be giving it back. Thanks

Ok fellow aero owners, I discovered that the reason I had no acceleration on the 125 is because the needle valve that attaches to the bottom side of the accelerator piston has become disconnected. There is a small clip that holds the needle valve in the piston and it also can be adjusted with this clip. There are five grooves in the top of the needle valve and by moving the clip up or down in the grooves you can adjust the amount of accleration. There is also a spring that fits in the recess to keep the clip from coming off the needle valve, but evidently sometimes it does not.

Yes, adjusting the needle clip will adjust the mixture of fuel at low throttle, i think 2nd up from the bottom is middle, lower= rich while higher = lean. at wide-open-throttle the jet size is the bigger factor. Not starting while well cold is a problem common to the aero family of scooters, my 50cc is hard to start and I think it is a problem with the design of the bystarter. Please post a pic or two of the 125cc for us though
