i am ready to change my gear oil on my elite and figured it would be the same for an aero.
please post what you use.

I use 80w-90 valvoline durablend (semi-synthetic) gear oil. honda says use 10w-40, but i just use the gear oil

so i can use any 80-90 weight gear oil. is it also true that i can use auomotive oil

the service manual says to use 10w-40 regular motor oil. on the gear oil, i think so. i just use it because thats what i was told by some folks at Urbanscootin.com and i usually always have it in teh garage.

i may have to do that one of these days. i try to get down to pomona in November for the nhra race. i dont know if i will this year but if i do i'll take the scoot.

alright so i drained the old gear oil it was BLACK and nasty looking. now when i refill it how do i know that i didnt refill with to much oil? i dont want to fuck up my bike.

I use one of those ratio right thing that you get at wall mart. there right next to the gas cans. its like $3.00
