I must be getting stupider as I get older as I now have 3, that's right THREE scooter projects going at once. I'm still working on my 1985 Spree which is likely to end up with an Aero motor in it but for now it is getting the SB50 intake, carb and reed cage with carbon fiber reeds and a shaved head for a little higher compression. Plus over-sized tires, a drilled exhaust and a pulley mod. Oh and I have a kick starter for the motor too. I have a 43 mm over bore set up for it too but am considering saving that for the Aero motor, then again since I have 2 pistons I may do both motors. Oh the oversize tire bump top end by a whole 1/2 mph on the GPS.
Project 2 is the Aero 80 I got a month or so back, which is getting an improved reed cage with carbon fiber reeds and rejet to start with. Well once I cure the flooding carb that started after I changed the fuel filter. I also have a Ruckus variator for it. This will be the wife's bike.
Project 3 is the Aero 80 I got from workdog. I even scored a spare set of plastics for it from another source and a spare motor and a long block from workdog. So I will reassemble it and get it running, then it gets a CT manifold with 4 petal reeds to start with and a bigger carb, probably between 19 and 24 mm also to get rid of the insane bystarter system on this motor. Then I have a custom exhaust for it, even thought I found that in Europe there were at least 4 high performance exhausts made for these engines. Over the winter I am planning on a CR80 piston for slightly more cc and a port job for even more go power.
